BOWLINE

A knot, used for rigging bosun's chairs, tying off to supports, making a loop for other lines to run through.

BOWLINE ON A BIGHT

A variation of the bowline knot, tied in a bight of a rope. It gives two non-slipping loops.

BOX TIE

An assembly of tubes and clamps forming a frame around a column, beam, pipe or solid structure.

BRACE

A member used to hold a horizontal or vertical member in a fixed position with respect to another member.

BRACE - LONGITUDINAL

A diagonal member in the run vertical plane which extends from a post/runner intersection diagonally upwards to the post/runner intersection on the lift
